HELLO FROM THE FOUNDER

Hello, my name is Ashley Green, founder and owner of MKJS (formerly Makayla J's LLC). I started this journey officially in 2021 with the goal of cratering to low maintenance naturals, like myself. I envisioned a product that gives immediate results while also being affordable. Let me backtrack for a moment. In 2015, I started her hair journey out of the blue because something in my spirit told me too. I am not a hair guru, beautician, cosmetologist, or anything of the sort (I haven't even learned to cornrow). Add my lack of skill with my lack of effort in taking care of my hair and being cheap; and you get a dry, tangle, birds nest under a headwrap. Hence why I just started to make my own product with Youtube as my guide.  After much trial and error, and encouragement from my support system, I took the step to start my company. Along with seeing myself reflected in the market, I wanted to build a legacy for my daughter.  What I offer are products that give results after the first wash and not break the bank. Just because you are not consistent with your haircare doesn't mean you shouldn't have lustrous hair. I handcrafted something that will let you love your hair just as it is and help you maintain it even if you fall short a couple of times.
